Remember....

Today is not about war. It is about peace, and the people who have fallen to preserve peace. Today, I get to go to the veterans society building with Bella in her snugly and serve them lunch, and I feel honoured to do so.

The logical mind can sometimes play havoc on our sensibility, and for me the distinguishable difference between not supporting war and not supporting our troops, is immense. I hope we can all take a step back from our motives today, and recognise the peace, the strength and the job these people are doing while "serving their country". They are serving us, protecting us, letting us have the comforts of peace.

So today, I will serve them.

Good for you! Canadian troops have a good reputation for professionalism, reliability and courage. Strange, coming from such an inward looking and almost isolationist country.
